Wednesday - 17/04/2019 03:48
On April 16th, 2019, Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh (USSH's Rector) and representative of Office for Cooperation and Development welcomed the delegation of Antall József Knowledge Center (Hungary) led by Mr. Péter Antall (Director).

At the meeting, Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh briefly introduced about USSH, with an emphasis on its strategy of internationalization and strengthening international relations. The University has established relations with over 400 foreign partners, however the number of partners from Hungary such as Corvinus Budapest and Budapest College of Communication and Business is still nominal. Therefore, USSH hopes to commence fruitful cooperation with Antall József Knowledge Center.

For his part, Mr. Péter Antall shared some information about Antall József Knowledge Center. Established in 2009 and named after former Hungarian Prime Minister Antall József, the Center has the mission of spreading knowledge in Hungary, Europe as well as around the world through holding academic events, publishing academic publications and nurturing talents. The Center's publications focus largely on the field of international relations, including 3 large topics of foreign policy, sustainable development and cultivating sources of talent. The Center also highly values the relations with training institutions in the world, including universities in Southeast Asia. Therefore it wants to cooperate with USSH to spread its mission to Vietnam.

Prof.Dr Pham Quang Minh highly appreciated the missions of Antall József Knowledge Center and said they are also what the University pursue. Academically, the University is also interested in the field of international relations. The Rector suggested the two sides co-hold international conferences on such topics as the comparison between the transformations of socio-economic development models of Vietnam and Hungary, comparison between the two countries' processes of international integration, and the role of big countries in different regions. These events would provide comparative perspectives of the two countries in particular and between Southeast Asia and other regions around the world. This is even more meaningful as the two countries will celebrate 70th years of diplomatic relationship in 2020.
