Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Rector of VNU-USSH, emphasized the significance of expanding student exchange and mutual credit recognition between the two universities.
He noted that VNU-USSH has established fruitful partnerships with Chinese universities, with collaboration with BNU expected to yield notable results, particularly in facilitating student exchanges and mutual recognition of academic credits.
Prof. Hoang Anh Tuan explained that trends in Vietnamese higher education are evolving, with students increasingly favoring domestic programs that offer international exchange opportunities over studying abroad. Consequently, this partnership is expected to attract strong interest from students. Additionally, beyond literature, VNU-USSH hopes to broaden cooperation with BNU in other social sciences and humanities fields such as history and culture.
The collaboration aims to facilitate faculty exchange for teaching, research, and joint publication efforts. Previous meetings between the two institutions have laid a foundation for cooperation, and BNU’s visit today underscores the potential for future collaboration.
