Photo exhibition on Vietnam in Spain held by VNU and Valladolid University

Implementing the cooperation agreements between the two universities, VNU collaborated with Valladolid University (Spain) to organize a photo exhibition on "Vietnam: The land, people and culture" in the city of Palencia, one of the long-standing centres of culture and history in Spain.

The idea for the exhibition was proposed by Mr. Alfonso Polanco, Mayor of Palencia during VNU President Nguyen Kim Son’s working visit to Spanish universities in May 2019.

Based on the agreements signed in May 2019, VNU and Valladolid University have implemented a number of scientific and training cooperation programs, such as: researching on natural resources, environment and biodiversity; strengthening cooperation on Spanish language and culture research and training at VNU; developing student exchange programs under the funding of the European Union ...

In particular, the photo exhibition on Vietnam was held as scheduled. On February 7, 2020, the scientific seminar on the 500-year history of the bilateral relations and the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition attracted a large number of Spanish people and overseas Vietnamese.

The exhibition was held at the Cultural and Scientific Centre of Valladolid University, located in the heart of Palencia.  A hundred unique photos in the exhibition focused on such main topics as natural landscape, ethnic groups, historical - cultural heritage, daily life, educational and economic activities ... of Vietnam.

As planned, the series of photos on Vietnam is exhibited in the city of Palencia until the end of March 2020, and then transferred to Valladolid city for more people to learn about Vietnam.
