- The thesis generalizes the theoretical perspectives of the commentaries on the formation and development of India’s AEP, clarifies the concept and content of foreign policy of the middle country actor in international relations applied to India's external relations with Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, South Pacific Ocean and vice versa.
- The thesis systematically and scientifically explains in detail and comprehensively the objectives, content and process of India's AEP implementation in the period 2014 - 2020. Thereby, the thesis contributes to enriching the methodology in the main research: India’s foreign policy in general, India’s AEP policy in particular and Prime Minister N. Modi’s role and vision in putting this policy into practice and expanding India’s influence.
- The thesis gives an objective and comprehensive comment on the achievements and limitations in the process of adjusting Look East Policy (LEP) into AEP of India under Prime Minister N.Modi. The thesis also assesses the impacts of this adjustment to the East region. South East Asia and Vietnam, and forecast the prospects of AEP in the coming time.
- On that basis, the thesis has focused on analyzing advantages, difficulties, opportunities and challenges for Vietnam, thereby recommending solutions to improve efficiency when Vietnam joins India’s AEP, in context of Vietnam accelerating the process of international integration, strengthening multilateral cooperation, promoting the “comprehensive strategic” partnership between Vietnam and India into reality.
11.2. Conclusions:
- Through research, the thesis AEP of India (2014 - 2020), has proven that the cooperation model in AEP has made great strides in terms of scope, scale and nature of cooperation with Vietnam: regions, as well as partner countries compared with LEP, this is a new issue in the research conditions of Vietnam. Through inheriting and absorbing relevant studies as well as analyzing and making new arguments, the thesis has made an important contribution in giving an updated and topical perspective on AEP. of India, which no earlier studies have been done
- On the basis of a solid foundation of common values and benefits achieved, in the next 10 years, India will continue to vigorously and extensively deploy AEP to Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, South Pacific and cover the entire Indo-Pacific region. India continues to attach great importance to the role and position of Vietnam, identifying Vietnam as an important pillar in the AEP to promote the “Comprehensive Strategic Partnership” relationship. This is in line with Vietnam’s foreign policy of “making friends with all countries”, and is a good opportunity to help Vietnam balance its relations between major countries, making good use of the AEP’s own cooperation framework to open up the world, expanding relations with India in both breadth and depth, in order to exploit the resources that India has strengths, serving the process of international integration and the goal of becoming a developing country with modern industry, High average income by 2030.
