The delegation included Assoc.Prof.Dr Tran Van Hai (Dean of the Faculty of Management Science), Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Dean of the Faculty of Management Science), and Nguyen Minh Nguyet (Office for International Training and Programs).

During this visit, the delegation worked with Prof. Kurt Lushington (Acting Pro Vice Chancellor) and Mrs Sue Johnston (Manager of International Relations, Education Arts and Social Sciences Divisional Office). Prof. Kurt Lushington was particularly interested in the possibility that the two universities would open a joint master's program on Public policy in which UniSA would design the training curriculum, send visiting lecturers and issue degrees for learners. Post-graduates under this course would receive degrees from UniSa. In addition, Prof. Kurt Lushington also promised to send workbooks and references on the technology transfer studies from Australia to University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and help connect professors and technologically-adept units of UniSa with USSH-VNU, as Australia is a nation of developed technology and has made great achievements in supporting and transferring their advanced tehchnologies to other developing countries such as Vietnam.

Moreover, as agreed by both sides, in next year’s April UniSa would send its lecturers to hold seminars and teach at USSH on some technology transfer issues: Experiences from Australia and other countries in the world; and to attend the Conference to commemorate Vietnam's 40 years of unification, integration and development.

Also in this visit, the delegation had a meeting with Mr. Stan Astachnowicz (UniSA Business School Director: International, Business Services) at the University of South Australia. Mr. Stan Astachnowicz was very happy that in the coming time, when the ASEAN Community (ASEAN) is established in 2015, the School of Commerce, University of South Australia will coordinate with USSH to launch joint training programs to attract students from not only Vietnam but also other countries in the region.
