At the meeting, Ambassador Nadav Eshcar expressed his desire to begin the teaching and study of Israel at universities in Vietnam. The proposal is part of the Israeli government's plan to expand the education of Israel in Asia. In Vietnam itself, the Israeli Embassy in Hanoi has chosen University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH) as an address to implement this idea.
Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan thanked Ambassador Nadav Eshcar for his trust and said that USSH has the proper means and capabilities to cooperate with the Embassy in implementing the idea. USSH's Faculty of Oriental Studies has ample experiences with country studies programs such as Korean Studies, Japanese Studies, Chinese Studies, Indian Studies, and Southeast Asian Studies. The addition of Israel studies would prove to be practical and provide opportunities for students of the University to expand their knowledge.
