The conference received the attention of lecturers, graduate students, and graduate students from many units and universities in many provinces and cities nationwide.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities shared good news: the University of Social Sciences and Humanities focuses resources on building the university into a multidisciplinary, research unit. The university's team of scientists is very resourceful, directly contributes to the state and international projects. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities is also proud to be a research unit and implement many policy consulting programs for the Vietnamese government.
According to Times Higher Education results published on October 26, 2023, on rankings by field World University Ranking by Subjects 2024, VNU's Social Sciences field increased its ranking to the top 501 - 600 in the world. As a pioneering training and research facility in the social sciences and humanities, the university always pays special attention to supporting graduate students to improve their academic qualifications and support international publishing.
The International Scientific Conference on " Issues of Social Science and Humanities" is an academic forum for young staff and graduate students to exchange new research results related to thesis on various subjects. At the same time, the forum helped enhancing international publication capacity in response to the requirements of international standards applied to scientific activities of domestic and foreign organizations.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jamie Gillen - University of Auckland, New Zealand and Prof.Dr. Nguyen Tuan Anh - University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, chaired the scientific conference.
The conference had a total of 88 authors/author groups registered and 73 articles selected (an increase compared to the first conference of 68 articles).
The topics researched are diverse, covering many fields. In particular, the reports focus on topics related to theoretical and practical issues in social sciences and humanities (history, philosophy, religion, education, culture, language, communications, sociology, psychology, politics...) in sustainable development in Vietnam and other countries.
